About The Program
IM-CFO is a carefully selected pool of business and financial experts mandated to provide beneficiary Early-Stage Businesses with crucial assistance in:
The IM-CFOs
IM-CFOs are experienced business people with particular expertise in the core financial functions of growing businesses. Each IM-CFO has been rigorously selected and trained by IM Capital. Selection and training of IM-CFOs are based not only on the IM-CFO’s business and financial expertise, but also on personal qualities such as empathy, enthusiasm and a strong desire to be part of Lebanon’s rising entrepreneurial culture.
Typically, IM-CFOs are engaged in other professional pursuits in addition to serving as IM-CFOs on a part-time basis, and will work with their client Early-Stage Business to accommodate the schedules of both parties. IM Capital anticipates that that IM-CFOs will work with their client businesses a minimum average of 10 hours per month over a 6-month period. However, this amount of time may vary according to the needs of the business.
The IM-CFO program is funded by grants from USAID and other sources and the provision of an IM-CFO is at no cost to the client early-stage business.
IM-CFOs and IM Capital
IM Capital invests in Lebanese Early-Stage Businesses in amounts ranging from USD 50,000 to USD 500,000, normally as a co-investor matching other investors on a one-to-one basis. In most instances, the client business will be either an early-stage business receiving investment from IM Capital and a co-investor, or a business being considered for investment by IM Capital.
However, IM-CFOs are also expected to be a source of identification of potential investments for IM Capital.
